Blockchain is the underlying technology that drives cryptocurrency. Its potential uses are vast and are being explored by many industries. This course takes students on a deep dive into blockchain and investigates how it works, the peer-to-peer networking supporting it, and its cryptographic backbone. Students will build and test basic blockchains, implement smart contracts, and investigate node election and block validation processes. Students must have basic programming skills and a working knowledge of network protocols.
