Provides an understanding of the marine mammals (cetaceans, pinnipeds, sirenians, sea otters, and the polar bear), including evolutionary biology, physiology (locomotion, diving, thermoregulation, osmoregulation, reproduction), ecology (foraging/feeding behavior, distribution and habitat use, population dynamics), and conservation and management.
